Project Description
A school play area needs room for different kinds of play. Some children head straight for the swings, while others prefer building in the sand, exploring a playhouse or sitting together between activities.
Garden Links completed this playground equipment installation at Beech Hall School Riyadh, in Al Khuzama, bringing together swings, soft-play activities, a trampoline, sand play and seating. The project combines active play with quieter activities across the school’s play spaces.
A Mix of Movement, Exploration and Social Play
The equipment gives children several ways to enjoy their break. Conventional swings and basket swings provide different swinging experiences, while the enclosed trampoline adds another movement activity.
The soft-play section offers a different pace. Its circular arrangement includes padded steps, slopes and curved elements around a recessed centre, creating opportunities for climbing, crawling and exploring close to floor level.
A playhouse, covered sandpit and freestanding activity boards add spaces for imaginative and hands-on play. Together, these elements give the school more variety than a play area centred on a single structure.

Swings for Different Play Experiences
The three-seat swing set combines two standard seats with a toddler bucket seat. Separate basket swings add another seating style, broadening the equipment selection within the school grounds.
This variety is a distinctive part of the Beech Hall School project. The installation includes different options that the school can manage according to children’s ages, equipment guidance and supervision arrangements.
For schools comparing similar configurations, our outdoor playground swings range provides options to consider according to the available space and intended users.
Soft Play and Hands-On Activities
The colourful soft-play set brings several low-level activities into one compact arrangement. Children can approach it from different sides and move between its steps, slopes and padded shapes.
Schools planning a dedicated padded activity zone can explore our soft-play equipment range when selecting suitable features for their setting.
The playhouse supports pretend play, while the covered sandpit provides a dedicated place for digging, shaping and building. The freestanding activity boards offer another option for drawing and group activities.
These quieter features complement the swings and trampoline, giving children alternatives when they want a change of pace.
A Separate Trampoline Activity
The round trampoline introduces a jumping activity alongside the other play equipment. Its surrounding net enclosure defines the activity space, while the school’s supervision and operating rules remain essential to its use.
When selecting trampolines for a school play area, the intended age group, equipment capacity, access and surrounding clearance should guide the choice.
Seating That Supports Everyday School Use
Seating forms an important part of the finished project. The round picnic table has curved benches arranged around a shared tabletop, creating a place for children to sit together.
The rectangular picnic table provides another group seating option, while the separate benches offer places to pause near the activity areas. Including furniture alongside the play equipment makes the space useful for conversation, small-group activities and breaks between play.
Our outdoor benches and picnic tables range offers seating options for schools planning similar shared spaces.
The Completed Result
The Beech Hall School installation brings movement activities, imaginative play and shared seating into the same project. Swings and a trampoline provide active options, soft play and sand activities encourage exploration, and tables and benches create places to spend time together.
For schools planning play equipment installation in Riyadh, this project illustrates how a varied equipment selection can support different activities throughout the school day.
