Two-Swing Climbing Playset Installation in Qiddiya City

Location Qiddiya City, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
Installation Time 1 Day
Completion Date October 26, 2026
Client Outdoor Kids Play Area
Project Area 30–40sqm

Project Description

Garden Links completed this two-swing climbing playset installation in Qiddiya City, Riyadh, in one day. The installation combines two swings, a red straight slide, a yellow double slide, stair access and climbing equipment within a connected outdoor structure.

The slides face the open courtyard, with the swings extending along the left side and climbing activities arranged on the right. This gives the equipment three distinct sections: swinging, sliding and climbing.

Purple steel posts and railings bring the structure together visually. White access handrails and a pale climbing frame contrast with the red and yellow slides, while decorative figures finish the taller posts. The equipment stands within a sand-covered area bordered by raised edging beside the building.

Location: Qiddiya City, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
Project type: Outdoor courtyard play area
Installation time: One day
Estimated play area: Approximately 30–40 m²
Equipment materials: LLDPE plastic and galvanized steel

Equipment Installed

The installation includes:

  • Two swings: Individually suspended open seats mounted along the adjoining swing frame.
  • One straight slide: A red open slide with raised sides.
  • One double slide: A yellow slide with two parallel channels separated by a central divider.
  • One access staircase: Steps with handrails leading to the elevated play section.
  • One climbing ladder: A fixed metal climbing route beneath the raised section.

The adjoining climbing frame also includes a rope ladder with coloured rungs and a climbing rope with footholds, visible beside the slides. These provide additional climbing activities within the same installation.

Clients comparing connected equipment can explore our swing and slide playsets to review different activity combinations.

Two-Swing Climbing Playset Installation in Qiddiya City: The Courtyard Layout

The red straight slide and yellow double slide sit alongside each other, creating three sliding channels across two units. Their different widths and colours make the routes easy to distinguish.

The staircase provides stepped access to the raised section. Railings surround the elevated areas, while the fixed climbing ladder offers a different way to approach the structure.

For projects considering alternative slide arrangements, our outdoor slide collection includes options for different layouts and available spaces.

The two swings occupy one side of the installation, with climbing activities on the opposite side. This arrangement spreads the activities across the structure rather than concentrating every movement around the stairs.

The rope ladder moves differently from a fixed ladder, requiring children to coordinate their grip and footing. User suitability must follow the supplied equipment’s age range and operating instructions. Our climbing frames and ladder options provide further configurations for projects where climbing is a priority.

The estimated area of 30–40 m² describes the approximate project space. It should not be used as a minimum space requirement for ordering the same equipment. Another courtyard needs measured dimensions and a layout checked against the model’s specified clearances.

Materials and One-Day Installation

The specified materials are LLDPE plastic and galvanized steel.

LLDPE, or linear low-density polyethylene, forms moulded components such as the slide bodies. The yellow double slide incorporates two channels within one unit, while the red straight slide provides a separate open descent.

Galvanized steel forms the supporting framework, including the posts, swing beam and climbing supports. Its protective zinc layer helps limit corrosion. Joints, anchors and areas with damaged finishes still require periodic inspection.

Garden Links completed the on-site installation in one day. That duration relates to this project; delivery access, foundations, ground preparation and additional surfacing can change the schedule elsewhere.

For this equipment combination, installation requires coordination between the elevated sections, slide connections, swing suspension points and climbing attachments. Ground anchoring and assembly must follow the supplied installation instructions.

Ground Conditions and Outdoor Care

Sand forms the visible ground finish beneath and around the equipment. Its suitability for fall protection depends on the material grading, maintained depth, underlying construction and performance required for the equipment’s fall height.

The raised edging, nearby walls and building features also matter when reviewing activity clearances. Swing travel, slide exits and climbing areas need adequate space, including separation from hard boundaries.

Our play equipment safety planning guide explains the relationship between equipment positioning, foundations, protective surfacing and inspection.

In Riyadh’s outdoor conditions, care should include removing dust from sliding surfaces, checking swing chains and connectors, and inspecting climbing ropes, ladder rungs and attachment points. Sand displaced around slide exits and beneath swings needs regular attention.

Check slide surfaces, seats and handrails for heat before use. Any claimed ultraviolet protection or weather resistance should be supported by the supplied model’s technical specifications.

FAQs

How much space is needed for a playset with two swings and slides?

The required area includes the equipment footprint and its specified activity clearances. Allow for swing movement, slide exits, stair access and climbing activities. This project’s estimated area is approximately 30–40 m², but another site requires its own measured assessment.

What is the difference between a climbing ladder and an access staircase?

An access staircase uses steps to reach the elevated play section. A climbing ladder uses rungs or climbing bars and requires a different combination of hand and foot movements. A suspended rope ladder adds movement to the climbing route.

Can a straight slide and double slide be combined in one playset?

Yes. This Qiddiya City installation includes a red straight slide and a yellow double slide within one connected structure. The configuration provides three sliding channels across two slide units.

Can outdoor play equipment be installed in one day?

Yes. The on-site installation for this project took one day. Other installations may need longer because of foundation work, site preparation, access restrictions or the equipment selected.

How much does a two-swing climbing playset cost?

The quotation depends on the equipment model, slide configuration, climbing components, delivery, foundations, installation and surfacing requirements. Site dimensions and photographs help define the work needed.
