Project Description
A shared playroom should give children reasons to return. A slide might be their first stop, but a crawling tunnel, an activity board or a table shared with friends can keep the visit interesting.
Garden Links completed this indoor playground at Almajidia residential complex in Riyadh, combining sliding, crawling, rocking, soft play and seated activities. The finished space includes a net-enclosed play structure with a ball pool, a separate four-lane slide installation, interactive wall panels and smaller play features distributed throughout the room.
Several Ways to Play in One Indoor Space
The project brings together equipment with different play experiences. Children can move between the slides and crawling activities, explore the wall-mounted panels or settle at the activity tables.
The photographs show a bright blue, yellow, green and grey floor pattern, with coordinated wall padding in selected areas. Alongside the colourful equipment, these finishes give the residential playroom a clear, welcoming character.
For residents, the result is a dedicated indoor amenity where children can enjoy a variety of activities within their own complex.

Enclosed Play Structure and Ball Pool
The net-enclosed structure combines a ball pool, internal slide and padded access elements. It creates a recognisable play zone within the larger room, with the surrounding mesh keeping the activities visible from outside.
This section gives children a connected sequence of activities: entering, climbing, sliding and playing among the balls. It complements the separate equipment elsewhere in the room.

Four-Lane Slides and Separate Sliding Activities
One of the project’s most distinctive features is the side-by-side blue and yellow double-slide arrangement, providing four sliding lanes. An access staircase leads to the raised platform, which has handrails and perimeter guardrails.
A separate blue straight slide connects to a themed frontage elsewhere in the room, while the compact playhouse includes a smaller green slide. These different configurations add variety to the sliding activities across the installation.
Each unit should be operated according to its specified age range, capacity and supervision requirements.
Soft Play, Crawling and Imaginative Activities
The circular soft-play set offers low-level exploration through padded steps, slopes and curved shapes arranged around a recessed centre. Its neutral blue, grey and orange colours provide a softer visual contrast to the brighter floor.
The caterpillar tunnel adds a crawling route, while the compact playhouse gives children a setting for pretend play. These features broaden the activity mix beyond climbing and sliding.

Spring Riders and a Shared Rocking Activity
Animal-themed spring riders add individual rocking activities to the room. The spring-mounted seesaw provides a separate shared activity, giving children another option between visits to the larger structures.
The different animal shapes also give this part of the playroom a recognisable theme. Our spring rider collection includes designs that can be assessed against the space, intended users and installation conditions.
Interactive Wall Panels and Children’s Seating
Wall-mounted panels bring hands-on activities to the edges of the room. Animal, vehicle and space themes introduce different moving components, while a separate maze board offers a tracing activity.
Children’s tables and colourful chairs provide places for drawing, small-group activities and quieter moments. Together, the panels and seating give children alternatives when they want a break from movement-based play.
Flooring and Protective Finishes
Interlocking foam mats extend across the photographed play spaces, creating a consistent floor finish around the different activities. Selected wall sections also have protective padding.
These finishes form part of the completed room, alongside the play equipment. Their ongoing condition, cleaning and suitability beneath each activity remain part of the facility’s day-to-day management.
A Shared Play Amenity for Almajidia Residents
The Almajidia installation combines larger play structures with smaller activities that children can explore individually or together. Slides and the ball pool provide focal points, while the tunnel, soft-play set, rocking equipment and wall panels introduce different ways to use the room.
The project demonstrates an indoor playground approach suited to a residential complex: a varied activity selection within a shared space, supported by children’s seating and coordinated finishes.
